LOUIS VUITTON SINGAPORE CITY GUIDE
T’was the night before I met Beckham and all through the house everything was stirring at the Louis Vuitton Singapore City Guide launch at the Raffles Hotel Shopping Arcade store.
I’ve been living in Singapore for nearly 3 years now, and get very defensive whenever anyone disses the Little Red Dot – usually it’s tourists who still see it as a stop-over, not a destination. Hopefully the luxury fashion house can help change people’s minds about this whole “boring”stigma! There are so many hidden gems here – I do think Singapore is like an ice-berg – it’s a city that can be just taken at face-value, but if you start to explore there are many wonderful spots to be discovered.
Each guide available in the Louis Vuitton stores will carry a SG50 sticker – this is the mark the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Singapore next year. It includes some of my favourite restaurants – including Tippling Club – the owners are my next door neighbours – and I was lucky enough to attend this event with Leesa.
Afterwards, Leesa, Angie and I grabbed a bite. I was starving, having rushed to the event after a Fox Sports Central show, and this was the size of the “pizza” we ordered! Angie spilled her cocktail before even taking a single sip… This fool-proof solution was offered by the bartender…
Meanwhile, I was totally crushing on this Petite Malle bag which was unveiled at this year’s Paris Fashion Week in March, designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere (formerly of Balenciaga). It’s pretty much the IT bag of the season – who wouldn’t want a mini LV trunk?
