I don’t know about you, but I believe keeping busy is actually a good thing.

I do have many moments when I just want to “check out” of my schedule and STOP, but as soon as I do, I find myself less happy than I was if I were busy. A lovely sleep in, couch surfing, coffee-sipping and flick watching does sound like living the dream, but in reality, the happiness only can last for a limited time. Being idle is so dangerous for someone like me. The reason is, if my mind isn’t occupied or if I’m not doing something productive… I start to over-think. I’m not saying churn and burn through your energy – but it’s good to keep yourself on your toes. Sometimes, when I’m on holidays, I find myself in a moment of sadness…. And this is because I have too much time to think! Or maybe I have serious, undiagnosed issues!!! So even on vay-cays I’m out taking pictures for my blog, reading books and being annoying basically.

Here’s one quote that I think sums it up: “Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.” – Dale Carnegie. That’s the bloke who wrote the best-seller How to Win Friends and Influence People.

Anyways, I think you get my drift. Always have something cooking! I’ve got a few ideas brewing this year. Can’t wait to see them come to life! Watch this space…
