Ponds has been around for 160 years. So if the brand were a woman, she’d be covered in wrinkles with one hell of a life story to tell!

Which brings me to the product range I’m testing out here – Ponds Age Miracle – which aims to target expression lines. These products aim to “repair the skin, enhance collagen and new cells production, and boost the skin’s moisture from within”. Ok all sounds good, but let’s see if it works, shall we?

I should start by saying I have sensitive, combination skin. I’m prone to an oily t-zone, but with dry patches and flakey skin.

When we think fine lines – immediately the thought is of crows feet pops into my head. This is where the Dual Action Eye Cream comes in handy. When you open this product – there are two sections. The pink cream is for the upper eyes enriched with collagen – the consistency is almost like a gel with a rubbery consistency. The smell is subtle which I like. While the white cream is for the under eyes to help reduce puffiness and dark circles – this is a thick, toothpaste like substance. Both go onto the eyes easily – leaving the skin noticeably smoother. This is probably my favourite product in the range – while I personally don’t usually have an issue with puffy eyes, I do aim for a more lifted appearance. This actually does stimulate the eyes and it’s almost like the product smooths over the wrinkles – kinda of like a pore-filler effect, if that makes sense.

Thoroughly cleansing my skin is a huge part of my beauty regime. Working in telly means I wear strong coverage makeup every single day and I need to give my skin time to breathe overnight. I’m pretty fussy with facial washes and I’ve tried many over the years. Anyway, the Pond’s Cell ReGEN Facial Foam certainly is effective in removing dead skin cells without feeling too harsh or abrasive. It’s recommended to use morning and night, but for me this is more a once a day product, using something gentler with the morning wash. I think it’s ideal before bed, as your skin is prepped and clean – ready to be moisturised.

This product is extremely rich, again a paste-like texture. One thing I particular like is that it is absorbed into the skin and doesn’t leave an oily or wet residue film on the top of it. The night cream melts into the skin – and when I woke up after applying it, my face felt nourished and dewy. Bouncy even.

Now this product is a more light-weight version of the night cream. It’s more dense than whipped cream, but feels quite thin to put on. Which is something I look for in a day cream, as I add on primer and then foundation on top.

THE VERDICT // Overall, this range is effective – I used it over a 7 day period – which is when Pond’s say you’ll start to notice a difference. My skin did feel and look plumper. The only thing I didn’t see much of a change in, is my darker spots – but those are pretty stubborn! Plus, when you look at the price points – for example the Dual Action Eye Cream RRP is $29.90 SGD for 20g, the Day Cream $29.90 for 50g, the Night Cream $29.90 for 50g and the Facial Foam is just $9.90 for 100ml, it’s well worth giving it a go.
